Top 10 [NOT SENT FROM MY PHONE!]

Meet my 10 favorite bands for the year twenty oh eight...if you're smart, they'll be your favorites, too!! XOXO

10) 1997
My favorite band with both male and female lead vocals. You might not know exactly who they are right now but give them a couple of months! You'll fall in love with their originality, their upbeat, catchy songs and clever lyrics.

9) We The Kings
I just got their album for Christmas and it's full of pop-punk goodness. They are currently on The Really, Really, Ridiculously Good Looking Tour with Cobra Starship and will also be hopping on your favorite summer tour; The Vans - Warped.

8) Jimmy Robbins
Jimmy Robbins (formerly known as Too Sorry For Apologies) just signed a record deal late 2007, early 2008 and is set for higher grounds this year working on his first full length album! Expect to hear a lot from this boy very soon!

7) The Higher
One of my favorite Vegas bands (Vegas baby!!) for sure, The Higher's unique sound infused with familiar pop, rock & soul elements is definitely something that makes them stand out already! 2008 is destined to be the year of The Higher. They're currently on tour with Sherwood and Houston Calls.

6) Automatic Loveletter
I have been a fan of Automatic Loveletter for over a year now, it's only fitting that 2008 is shaping to be a stupendous year for this band! Lead singer Juliet Simms' infectious vocals will leave you impressed and definitely wanting more! With her guest appearances on two of 2007's highly anticipated albums (Cartel & All Time Low) I'd say I'm not the only one who thinks so! The buzz surrounding them is growing at an incredibly high rate. Start listening now before MTV steals them!

5) Cobra Starship
I guess it's not all about Snakes On A Plane! This band proved that they are more than just a one hit soundtrack wonder! That movie may have flopped but these guys have been gaining massive amounts of fans ever since their "big break"! They are preparing to take 2008 by storm. Currently headlining The Really Really Ridiculously Good Looking Tour, Cobra Starship will be entering your hearts as well as your feet because their music is pure dance rock. If you don't dance at their shows, you'll be seen to the door. (Not really..)

4) Danger: Radio
This band is currently on tour with The Audition and Envy on The Coast but I think people will leave the show wanting to know more about Danger: Radio! With tons of support from other bands who have made a name for themselves such as Cute Is What We Aim For and their unique soulful sound, Danger: Radio is on a steady climb towards the top of their game. Look out for them this year! The Pac Sun Tour is probably coming to a town near you, check it out!

3) All Time Low
All Time Low released their first full length CD last year "So Wrong, It's Right" and the public has been showing nothing but love for it proving it's definitely more right than wrong! Their next single "Dear Maria" is sure to get tons of ears listening! Be prepared! This Spring they are co-headlining the Alternative Press Tour w/ The Rocket Summer.

2) The Rocket Summer
The Rocket Summer's lead vocalist Bryce Avary has such a huge, powerful voice it will leave you speechless. His major label debut Do You Feel flew off the shelves last year when it was released. If you pay attention to detail (read the back of the booklet in the CD) Bryce not only wrote the entire CD but he also played/recorded every single instrument on the album! Truly impressive and the live show is not even close to a let down. Do yourselves a favor -- check out The Rocket Summer this spring co-headlining The Alternative Press tour w/ All Time Low.

1) Forever The Sickest Kids
Forever The Sickest Kids will be all over every tour this year and that's why they are number one on my list. A lucky few of us got to really know them last year...we're ready to share the love! The band is opening on The Alternative Press tour this Spring, they are about to go on tour with Powerspace (starting next month) & they'll be playing Bamboozle on 5/3. If you haven't heard of them yet, you will! Their music is catchy powerpop greatness that you can't help but dance to.

xxxxxx
